Payments
We operate on a fee-for-service basis and do not accept insurance. Patients are responsible for paying all fees directly. Payment is due following each appointment using a payment method that is pre-authorized in advance of the appointment. We accept debit and credit card payments through a secure HIPAA-compliant client portal.
Fees
Our fees vary based on the type, scope, and length of appointment. Some services involve mostly direct care (e.g., provider-patient sessions), while others include direct and indirect care (e.g., provider reviewing records, scoring and interpreting assessments, and writing evaluation reports).
We request at least twenty-four hours notice to cancel an appointment without charge. Cancellations made with less notice or no notice will incur a fee.
Requests for a reduction in fees are considered on a case-by-case basis.
About Insurance
Since we operate on a fee-for-service basis and do not accept insurance, we are "Out-of-Network" for all insurance companies. This means we cannot bill or receive payments from insurance companies. Although we do not accept insurance, some patients may be eligible for Out-of-Network benefits and may be reimbursed by their insurance for a portion of our fees. For these patients, we will provide a "superbill" to submit to their insurance provider. A superbill is a detailed receipt of services provided. Accessing Out-of-Network outpatient mental health benefits and receiving partial reimbursement can be time-consuming and complicated, and cover only a small percentage of our fees. We recommend potential patients contact their insurance company before scheduling our services.
Good Faith Estimate
Patients have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate that outlines the expected cost of their mental health services. By law, if a patient is uninsured or not using insurance, then the provider must provide an estimate of the total cost for non-emergency care. This estimate covers the expected costs of services. Patients may request a Good Faith Estimate from us, either before or after scheduling an appointment. If patients receive a bill that is at least $400 higher than their Good Faith Estimate, then they have the right to dispute the bill.
